Authenticity verses Safety and Comfort. Real spacesuits are complex “personal spacecraft”. They are difficult to get into and often unsafe to use by untrained technicians. We don’t rent real suits. But since we do make real suits, we know how to make exact copies that are easiest and safest for your actor to work in, so your production goes smoothly. The producer of HBO’s “Earth to the Moon” put it best; “What we want are Costumes that look like real spacesuits, Not real spacesuits that are trying to work as costumes.” And that’s what we gave them.

Need historically accurate? Our specialists have the knowledge about the historic space missions and current NASA suits to make you an expert. When our competitors are trying to copy an old mockup training suits, we are duplicating the real deal from first hand access to the real suits and with the years of experience that has made us the best. We don’t use old Russian flight hardware from ebay and pass it off as correct US. Astronaut gear or use round “fish globes” for our Apollo helmets. In other words, we have the right stuff. Global also has accurate copies of many of the support equipment, tools and replica space vehicle to complete your scene.

Other sources for rental suits. NASA doesn’t rent their spacesuits. In fact they rent them from us. Some of our competitors even feature our suits on their web pages. We’re flattered. Other companies claim they have been making suits for nearly 30 years, well in our book, making a couple of suits 30 years ago and a few more recently, hardly qualifies as 30 years of experience. Our experience is so vast we can’t list all our credits on this page. To see them please go here: Projects & Credits
